Mary Markley Residence Hall is a student residence-style building that is located four blocks east of the NACOB 2008 conference venue at the Michigan League (itself located at the junction of Fletcher St/North University Street). Accommodations in a non-air conditioned residence hall room include: shared baths on each floor, one on the female wing and one on the male wing. A linen packet consisting of pillow, bed sheets, spread, and towels is provided. Markley does not provide housekeeping services. Room Rates
Singles - $45.00 a night, plus $3.50 one-time fee per person
Doubles - $56.00 a night, plus $3.50 one-time fee per person*
*If double, the room will be billed to one guest.
If you need to cancel your reservation, please call +734.764.5297 within 48 hours of your scheduled date of arrival or you will be charged for one night's stay on your credit card. The administrative fee will be withheld for processing purposes on all cancellations.
Parking permits will be available at a rate of approximately $3 per day. Because student and metered street parking on campus is scarce (Please visit here for information on Public Parking), it should be noted that your permit will allow you to park in a lot (UM NC-51 orange lot) that is located ~1.5 miles northeast of Mary Markley Hall, on North Campus. However, the NC-51 parking lot can be reached by a convenient and complimentary University bus service to and from the parking lot roughly every 15-20 minutes. Street parking meters cost $1/hour between 8 am and 6 pm, otherwise they are free. But please be advised that street parking meters are scarce and parking enforcement is very strict - the fine is $10 to $15 for an expired parking meter. After several tickets you risk the inconvenience and the expense of several hundred dollars if your car is towed.
PLEASE NOTE: Housing does not assign roommates; if requesting a double room, you must be prepared to give them the names of both guests upon making the reservation. The room will be billed to one guest.
You can purchase parking permits ($3.00/day) and breakfast ($7/day) through this URL.
Mary Markley Residence Hall is now fully booked. No more rooms are available as of June 26, 2008.
