GROUND TRANSPORTATION TO ANN ARBOR FROM DETROIT METROPOLITAN AIRPORT
Checker Sedan is the official curbside luxury sedan service provider at Detroit Metro Airport. We recommend pre-paying for your reservation by using the special conference link they have provided our organization. This way, you will not have to waste time while their chauffeur swipes your card inside the vehicle, etc.
Simply click on the Checker Sedan logo (at right) and follow the prompts.
A Reservation Confirmation and credit card receipt will be instantly emailed to you. When you arrive at the airport, follow the ceiling signs to "Luggage Claim." At the McNamara Terminal (Northwest, Continental, Delta and International flights-except Air Canada), please stop by the Checker Sedan Welcome Center at the foot of the escalator, just through the sliding glass doors toward the left. The team there will escort you to their service curb at the Ground Transportation Center inside the parking garage. At the Smith Terminal (all other airlines including Air Canada), follow the ceiling signs to "Luggage Claim" and exit out the doors closest to the United Airlines Luggage Belt (where the luggage arrives). Cross the roadway into the Ground Transportation Center where Checker Sedans will be waiting for you.
Another alternative for transportation to and from the airport: a local Ann Arbor company, Select Ride, manages the Yellow Cab service, as well as other transportation services to accommodate the needs of any busy traveler.

Canadians can take a train to the VIA station in Windsor, Ontario and then take a cab to the Detroit Amtrak station. The cab driver will charge you an additional flat fee of about $36 to go through the tunnel under the river.
